About
The Fun to Eat Fruit™ Company is dedicated to encouraging
healthy eating habits for children and adults. Family-owned and privately-held, the company began in New Hampshire in 2007 because we wanted to raise healthy eaters in a junk food world. Knowing fruit was among the top snack food choices for kids, we hoped adding a “fun factor” would attract more children—and even adults—to healthy snacking. Fun to Eat Fruit™, which adds safe-to-eat, color images to fruit without harming or puncturing the skin, was born…

In 2008, our idea was tested on a tough consumer group: hungry elementary school students. Initially, research teams in ten New Hampshire public schools served regular apples at lunchtime. The children were not enthusiastic about the apples and wasted most of the fruit. At the second visit, Fun to Eat Fruit™ served apples featuring hearts, smiley faces, and snowmen. Our informal study showed that serving Fun to Eat Fruit™ actually increased apple consumption by 50% when compared to school lunches where only plain apples were offered.

In addition to the health benefits, Fun to Eat Fruit™ provides unique marketing for those who want to use breakthrough branding methods to get their message across. Fruit featuring customized, edible messaging provides a memorable, sensory experience for adventuresome palettes.
